Incitec Pivot Limited today announced the appointment of Julian Segal as Managing Director and CEO of the listed fertiliser company.
Mr Segal was Manager of Strategic Market Planning for the Orica Group and has had wide experience in sustainable business improvement and marketing.
Incitec Pivot's current Managing Director and CEO, Greg Witcombe, has resigned to take up the new position of General Manager Business Transformation and Human Resources with Orica Limited.
The change is effective 3 June 2005.
Announcing the change, Incitec Pivot's Chairman, Mr John Watson, welcomed Mr Segal to the company and thanked Mr Witcombe for successfully leading the merged business through its first two years.
"Greg and his team have laid the foundations for a great Australian agribusiness which has established clear leadership in the fertiliser industry," he said.
Mr Watson said Mr Segal brings strong experience to Incitec Pivot as it consolidates and grows at a time of change in the industry, especially in the retail sector.
